A beautiful building on all sides and inside describes the Grand Central on the Park Building (Squire Latimer Building). During the Klondike Gold Rush, the building housed the Grand Central Hotel. In its 1972 restoration, lovely iron gates were added on the First Avenue entrance and on the Occidental Square entrance.
The side of the building facing Occidental Square is covered in bright green ivy that adds a nice touch to the beauty of Occidental Square.
The interior features a beautiful atrium with seating for patrons of the Grand Central Bakery. Large paintings accent the atrium's walls.
This is a great place to take a coffee (and pastry) break and rest your feet while gazing out the gated entrances.
