Seattle Tourist Attractions--Downtown Architecture
Fourth Avenue and Pine Street
Westlake Park water wall
This lovely downtown park was created as part of a downtown rehabilitation project that included development of Westlake Center and construction of the Metro Transit Tunnel. The elegant design of the granite pavers was inspired by a Salish Indian basket weave design.
Westlake Park is a great place to take photographs. It attracts lots of people and it features interesting elements including an attractive water wall, Japanese Zelkova trees, and a giant chess set. Surrounding the park are a number of beautiful office buildings and the attractive Westlake Center.
